The Business
Based in London, with offices in USA and HK, Catalyst is a subsidiary company of the global supply giant Li and Fung operating in the RFID technology space. The business offers retail technology and security products, including EAS and RFID security systems. We provided expertise to manage the recruitment of a CEO for business growth.
The Challenge
It was identified that the business was under performing and the divisional CEO wanted to recruit a CEO for the business to spearhead growth. This required a deep knowledge of the global retail technology market and RFID specifically. The opportunity, being part of a global manufacturer, was to develop a futurist solution using RFID to track inventory from source to retail floor including real-time inventory solutions. ORESA were commissioned to recruit a global citizen for this international role.
The Solution
ORESA conducted an executive search process covering individuals from comparative RFID and retail technology businesses across the world. The shortlist included candidates from Germany, Sweden, the USA and the UK. The successful candidate was a Canadian / British dual citizen with strong retail networks and a sales and marketing skillset, perfect to work on the proposition and sell it into retailers.
